A new bedroom is probably the most common reason for a loft conversion, either to cater for a burgeoning family or to increase the value of the property - bedrooms are, after all, one of the most sought-after spaces for potential buyers.

Here’s a few bedroom conversions we think look fabulous and would make a wonderful addition to any home with the accommodating loft space. Enjoy.

Light in all the right places

1

Light is so important when it comes to creating a cosy, comfortable room that’s going to be used on a regular basis. It defines space and practically shapes the way we use it. This gorgeous bedroom makes use of two windows for optimum natural daylight - one at floor level, the other a skylight.

Use of colour has been kept to a minimum with a simple neutral tone throughout, changed only in the bed furnishings and wooden trim for contrast.

Bare Essentials

2

The exposed brickwork in this bedroom creates a look that feels rustic and lived-in, whilst at the same time being very contemporary and stylish. Raw materials are bang on trend right now and this stripped-back conversion gets it just right.

Having installed a skylight, the room’s minimalist qualities are accentuated by sparse, clean and evenly distributed natural light.

Loft in Lavender

3

For something altogether different, we chose this quirky but cosy little bedroom conversion in lavender. Use of colour is a very important aspect to any living space; get it right and you can perfectly encapsulate mood, theme and purpose all in one go.

This room exudes character and conveys a very specific, very cosy feeling through colour alone. The contrasting white prevent the darker purples from being too overpowering and creates a relaxed, calm balance that’s perfect for a restful night’s sleep.
