Every now and then we like to take a peak at what others are doing with their renovated lofts/attics. And not just because we love a good nose around. For a lot of homeowners, the loft holds a great deal of potential when it comes to expanding living space - so we like to showcase a few of our favourite examples as a way of inspiring you guys to go ahead and do the same.


Here are a few contemporary spaces that have caught our eye over the last couple of days. From cosy little hideaways to great big bedrooms, there’s always an opportunity to turn that unused loft into a dream project. Enjoy.

Window seats are always a popular choice for making the most of limited space. This loft conversion has been centred around a fabulous seating area for a cosy, comfortable and practical use of a small space that would otherwise be left to store old belongings. Throw cushions and blankets have been used effectively. Very homely.

Converting your loft into a bathroom can be a lot trickier than turning it into a bedroom or office, but the rewards are worth it, as you can see here. This beautiful bathroom works perfectly with the slanted ceiling and muted light to create a relaxing, harmonious atmosphere. We can just imagine ourselves drawing a nice warm bath and soaking up the ambience. Sheer bliss.

This double bedroom makes great use of that wonderful-looking slanted ceiling, utilising a skylight that fills the room to great effect. It’s also a great example of how to take advantage of generous floor space. The light boards and walls create an airy, spacious feel that allow for more adventurous decoration; minimal but at the same time full of character. Absolutely wonderful.
