Arke Karina Space Saving Stair Kit

The standard Karina stair kit comprises of 11 treads, with stair installed over 12 number rises. The last tread is always set one rise down from the landing floor level.
This staircase is particularly suited for narrow spaces. Its clever supporting structure, made of steel interlocking elements, allows flexibility in the configuration and is available in three different colours: Black (RAL 9017), white (RAL 9010) and grey (RAL 9006).
The polished beech wood treads are of the "alternator" type, suitably shaped and staggered to guarantee maximum utilisation of space without compromising the stair functionality. The treads come as standard in two finishes either a light (natural) or dark twisted beech.

Karina Technical Information

The Karina has an adjustable height between 2280mm and 2820mm. It is able to reach a maximum height of 3290mm with the use of additional Tread kits (illustrated in the diagram below). These Tread kits are always right-handed and consist of the beech tread and two balusters.

Tread rise freely adjustable between 190mm and 235mm, however the building regulation maximum rise should not exceed 220mm. (Balustrade gap is normally in excess of 100mm).

The Karina is supplied with the railing to one side of the staircase, we can supply an additional railing kit if needed which consists of 9 balusters and this increases the total width dimension of the stair from 570mm to 600mm.

We can also provide a Balustrade kit which can be used on the upper floor level to protect the aperture. It comes in a 1200mm length comprising of 10 balusters, handrails and fixings. The Balustrade kit is available with a choice of three handrail options - Black Polyurethane, light/dark wood effect PVC or light/dark solid beech. The Balustrade kits with the Polyurethane or wood effect PVC handrails are able to adopt a circular shape, while the solid beech option can only be rectilinear.
