Arke Kya Space Saving Stair Kit

The Kya, Arke's newest modular space saving stair, is bound to be a sure-fire hit: marrying high-design and functionality, the Kya is designed to look fantastic in even the smallest of spaces. With its highly contemporary stainless steel wire balustrade and alternating paddle type beech treads, the Kya is available with a choice of black, white or grey steelwork and natural or dark varnished beech treads.

 

 

The Kya has an adjustable height between 2280mm and 2820mm. It is able to reach a maximum height of 3290mm with the use of additional Tread kits (illustrated in the diagram below). These Tread kits are always right-handed and consist of the beech tread and one baluster. If one or more Tread kits have been applied to the staircase then it will be neccessary to purchase the supplementary Handrail and Cable items.This is required so the climbing balustrade can be extended to reach the landing floor.
 

Tread rise freely adjustable between 190mm and 235mm, however the building regulation maximum rise should not exceed 220mm. (Balustrade gap is normally in excess of 100mm).
 

The Kya is supplied with the railing to one side of the staircase, we can supply an additional railing kit if needed which consists of 6 balusters, cables plus handrail and this increases the total width dimension of the stair from 580mm to 620mm.
 

We can also provide a Balustrade kit which can be used on the upper floor level to protect the aperture. It comes in a 1200mm length comprising of 5 balusters, cables, handrails and fixings. The Balustrade kit can also be adapted to form a circular design.
