This Fire Rated Access Panel fully complies with Building Regulations Document L1 and L2 (2002), to offer fire protection of 1 hour duration ( 2 hours available on special request )
Suitable for both domestic and commercial loft access, the access panel is complete with a robust zintec electro-galvanised mild steel door tray and frame. Standard sizes are 900 x 600, with special sizes and styles available to suit most applications.
The aesthetically pleasing finish is a lightly textured, white polyester powder coating that blends in with most installations, and which, if required, can be painted over to match existing décor. The door tray is supported along its short length by two removeable pivot plates and locked by a concealed key operated budget lock.
In common with all our loft hatch products the access panel has straight forward installations. The opening should be lined with 10 or 12.5mm thick plasterboard, although where space is at a premium, any suitable insulating material can be used to protect the rafter from heat transfer from the metal frame. The frame is secured with 50mm screws through pre-punched holes with picture frame as standard.
A beaded frame for tape and joining on site, push up fire rated panel and a high security locking option are also available on special request.
